Veneers
A veneer is a thin custom-made shell bonded to the front surface of a tooth to change its colour, shape, length or alignment — it covers the visible face of the tooth rather than the whole tooth. Because most veneers need space to sit flush with the neighbouring teeth, a thin layer of enamel is usually reshaped first, and enamel does not grow back. That single fact is the most important thing to understand before you agree to treatment, so we put it at the top rather than in the small print. Whether veneers are the right answer for you — or whether whitening, composite bonding, orthodontics or a crown would serve you better — is a decision made after an examination, not from a photograph.
